Started juggling from 11 years old, Valentin Lechat has been performing Juggling Art for more than 25 years.
He is a professional circus artist and well known performer in the world.
He creates THe UNited ARtists while moving for Asia in 2005.
In 2016, He founds THUNAR CIRCUS as first International Contemporary Circus Collective in TAIWAN with Lin Zhen Zong, his Taiwano-Chinese opera school student and contemporary circus creative partner.
He has performed in many different countries both his creations and as interpret in Cinema, Theater, Art Gallery, Circus Top (Circus Lili), corporate event, cabaret, TV, video, street, Art festival, … with Cie Jérome Thomas, Mazalda, Taipei Cross Over Dance Company, Shakespeare Wild Sister Group, Riverbed Theatre, Thunar Circus, THe UNited ARtists (2005-present), …
VL is always truly created his art-form from its self imaginary and mind, a vision of the world, keeping feelings in motion, using unique spirits living in objects to create unique shows.
He is actually acting, collaborating and practicing in Asia involved in multiple artistic projects.
For more than 10 years VL is also a licensed street-performer in Taiwan since 2008 and started bring his Circus/Theatre to the public space since 2006 in Asia.
VL has taught contemporary circus and juggling Art at the National Taiwan College of Performing Art from 2009 to 2016.
Since several years VL has inspired and educated the young generation of emergent Circus artists or students from Taiwan, also spread his Art to a super large audience ( millions of people ).
By his integrity, his poetic body connection to vibration of life, his singular poetry in circus, his wild career VL has grown a unexpected rare garden in Asia.
In 2016 Taiwan, he worked as curator of Circus and Street Arts to the Taipei Fine Arts Museum, and in 2017 became Consultant in the Weiwuying Arts Festival 2nd edition for Contemporary Circus section.
2018-19 Back in France, Valentin is: instructing juggling, movement and qigong at Arc En Cirque Circus school in Chambery; creating on three new shows; juggling and teaching for the company Virevolt; participating in local projects related to Circus and Culture (FOLKWELT, festivals, ….) distributing and performing the repertoire of THE UNITED ARTTSTS from the Alps; teaching QiGong through workshops.
Valentin Lechat studying Chinese since 2010 an ancient technique of breathing energy preserved untouchable by HAO TIAN YUAN ZONG Qigong master, being the first Western student and graduate in 2018, he started in France to transmit this rare Qi Gong in the world.
